To provide a contour detection device, a drawing device, a contour detection method and a contour detection program which allow an initial shape to be arranged in a proper position in spite of difference between a photographic environment at the time of learning and that at the time of detection to stably detect a contour with high precision.SOLUTION: The contour detection device comprises: a detection information generation unit 812 which uses a plurality of pieces of learning data to perform learning for nail contour detection and acquires contour detection information; and a contour detection unit 813 which applies the contour detection information to processing object data to detect a nail contour of a processing object nail. The detection information generation unit 812 sets an initial shape constituted of a plurality of feature points on the basis of the plurality of pieces of learning data and defines, as a reference point, a feature point corresponding to a reference position out of the feature points constituting the initial shape. The contour detection unit 813 arranges an initial position of the initial shape so that a point corresponding to the reference position on a finger contour of a finger including the processing object nail and the reference point are overlapped with each other, and fits the initial shape from the initial position into the processing object nail to detect the nail contour of the processing object nail.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
