To provide a method for generating a highly pure isocyanic acid which is expected for elucidation of a NOx purification mechanism by a urea SCR system, accuracy improvement of a purification predicting model, and application for a compound having a C-1 structural unit which is highly useful as a synthetic raw material of an organic compound, an apparatus for generating, a built-in kit, a gas-generating device, and a method for analyzing.SOLUTION: The method for generating of the present invention includes: a gasification process of heating cyanuric acid, that is a multimeric complex of isocyanic acid, at a temperature T1 of 300°C or higher; a heat decomposition process of thereafter successively decomposing with heat at a temperature T2 higher than the temperature T1; a gas-mixing process of flowing gaseous isocyanic acid obtained by heat decomposition into an inert gas stream preliminarily heated at a temperature higher than T1 to dilute with the inert gas; and a trapping process of introducing the mixture gas to a cold trap part, and cooling isocyanic acid gas to a temperature lower than a melting point thereof at the cold trap part while discharging the inert gas to trap.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
