PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moment limiter device for a boom work machine which prevents or suppresses the occurrence of overload work while activating performance of the boom work machine adequately.;SOLUTION: A moment limiter device calculates a center coordinate of an outrigger float 16 upon ground state of each outrigger, sets rated load changeover lines La, Lb, Lc, Ld passing through the center coordinate and a boom turn center B0, and sets a rated load performance of a virtual area sandwiched between adjacent respective two pieces of rated load changeover lines based on combination whether each of the center coordinates of the outrigger float 16 of respective two pieces of outrigger adjacent to each other in a swing direction of a boom 5 is such a coordinate as to exceed overhang distance to be exceeded in order to exhibit the maximum rated load performance stipulated by rated load table judgement lines LwF, LwR, LwB, LwL.
