To provide a flux-cored wire for gas shield arc welding capable of obtaining a weld metal excellent in cold cracking resistance and high-temperature strength, low in spatter generation rate and excellent in other weld workabilities, and to provide a method for production of a weld joint.SOLUTION: A flux-cored wire for gas shield arc welding in one embodiment of this invention includes as alloy components, 0.003-0.150% of C, 0.05-2.00% of Si, 0.40-3.50% of Mn, 0.020% or less of P, 0.020 or less of S, 1.50-13.00% of Cr, 0.10-2.50% of Mo, more than 0.10 to 0.30% of fluorides in F conversion value, 0.01-0.40% of Si oxide in SiOconversion value, 0.06-0.35% of total of Na and K compounds in total of Na and K conversion values, and the balance comprising Fe as at least one form among a steel coat, iron dust and iron alloy powder, and impurities.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
