To provide a convenient and efficient molten metal treatment method that can reduce a P content in aluminum, without using chlorine and the like, which are difficult to handle, and a high-strength Al-Si alloy casting with reduced P content.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for reducing P in molten aluminum, characterized by setting an aluminum molten metal temperature to higher than 1000°C.
