PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for supplying oxygen-containing gas to a secondary combustion chamber, capable of reducing concentration of CO contained in exhaust gas discharged from the secondary combustion chamber.;SOLUTION: A method for supplying oxygen-containing gas to a secondary combustion chamber comprises an upstream side supply step of supplying oxygen-containing gas to an upstream side space in the secondary combustion chamber, and a downstream side supply step of supplying oxygen-containing gas to a downstream side space in the secondary combustion chamber. In the upstream side supply step, oxygen-containing gas is supplied to the upstream side space so that a single swirl flow occurs in the upstream side space, wherein the single swirl flow is formed by causing oxygen-containing gas to swirl in a specific direction on an axis orthogonal cross section. In the downstream supply step, oxygen-containing gas is supplied to the downstream side space so that a single swirl flow occurs in the downstream side space, wherein the single swirl flow swirls in the same direction as the swirl direction of the foregoing single swirl flow.
