CERIA-ZIRCONIA-BASED COMPOUND OXIDE OXYGEN ABSORPTION DESORPTION MATERIAL, EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION CATALYST, AND HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE FOR PURIFYING EXHAUST GAS
To provide a ceria-zirconia-based compound oxide oxygen absorption desorption material capable of inhibiting agglomeration of a precious metal carried by a catalyst even under the more severe environment of 1000°C, an exhaust gas purification catalyst, and a honeycomb structure for purifying exhaust gas.SOLUTION: An oxygen absorption desorption material is composed of a ceria-zirconia-based compound oxide containing 0.5 mol% or more and 22 mol% or less of at least one rare earth element ion to a total amount (total cation amount) of elements other than oxygen contained in the ceria-zirconia compound oxide, and at least one alkali earth metal element ion where the mole ratio of the alkali earth metal ion to a total cation amount in the ceria-zirconia compound oxide is 0.5 mol% or more and 15 mol% or less. The oxygen absorption desorption material is used in the exhaust gas purification catalyst, and the honeycomb structure for purifying exhaust gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
