To provide a heat transfer testing device capable of efficiently performing a heat transfer test by reducing time required for inserting a pseudo heat source heated to temperature obtained by simulating the amount of heat generation of a spent fuel into each of a plurality of storage spaces demarcated by a lattice-like basket in preparation work of a heat transfer test.SOLUTION: When a temporary cover is lowered toward a container body from above the container body in a state in which each of a plurality of storage spaces is open upward, at least movement to a direction of separating downward from the temporary cover is restricted among respective movements of a plurality of pseudo heat sources such that each of the plurality of pseudo heat sources is maintained to be suspended with respect to the temporary cover, and a lower end of each of the plurality of pseudo heat sources abuts on a bottom face of the container body in a state in which each of the plurality of pseudo heat sources is stored in a corresponding storage space and the temporary cover is mounted to the container body, thus canceling a state in which each of the plurality of pseudo heat sources is suspended with respect to the temporary cover.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
