To provide an imaging system, an imaging method, a mobile body with an imaging system installed, an imaging apparatus and a mobile body with an imaging apparatus installed, enabling easy obtainment of an image with a sufficient contrast appropriate for measuring characteristics of a road surface when imaging the road surface while driving by a vehicle.SOLUTION: A mobile body 1 includes a first imaging apparatus 2 and a second imaging apparatus 7 installed. The first imaging apparatus is arranged in the mobile body so as to take an image in a vertical direction with regard to a road surface 4 where the mobile body is moving. The second imaging apparatus is arranged so as to take an image of a road surface at a side to which the mobile body is progressing, with regard to the first imaging apparatus.
