To provide a technology which can specify an object for which control is executed by an intention of a user, and display an image according to the object, in a transmission type head-mounted display device.SOLUTION: A transmission type head-mounted display device comprises: an image display unit for displaying an image together with an outside scene so as to be transparent to the outside scene; and a control unit for controlling the image display unit. The control unit executes: object acquisition processing which acquires a position range of one or more objects included in the outside scene; coordinates acquisition processing which acquires an indication area situated on the most user side of the indication area which is a common area of a direction fixed according to an indication of a user, and the position range of one or more objects; and display processing which can display the image corresponding to a specific object which is the object including the indication area in the position range, in the image display unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
