To provide a zirconia sintered body with both excellent light transmissivity and flexure strength, particularly a zirconia sintered body with both light transmissivity and strength suitable for an artificial tooth used in a front tooth, and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: A light transmissive zirconia sintered body includes yttria of more than 4.0 mol% and 6.5 mol% or less, and has an alumina content of 0 wt.%. The light transmissive zirconia sintered body has a relative density of 99.82% or more, a total light transmittance relative to the light of 600 nm wavelength in the thickness of 1.0 mm with 37% or more and less than 40%, and the flexure strength of 500 MPa or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
