MOISTURE CONTENT MEASUREMENT DEVICE, AND MOISTURE CONTENT MEASUREMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To non-destructively measure the moisture content in a container.;SOLUTION: A moisture content measurement device includes: a polarization light source 11 that has a variable frequency in a desired range and generates an electromagnetic wave of linear polarization; a 1/2 wavelength plate 13A for changing the direction of the polarization of the electromagnetic wave of the incident linear polarization and radiating the electromagnetic wave to a container 100; and a detector 12 for detecting the electromagnetic wave having passed through the container 100. The measurement device rotates the 1/2 wavelength plate 13A so that the electromagnetic wave intensity detected by the detector 12 becomes maximum. Thus, using an absorption peak for the steam of the electromagnetic wave, the moisture content in the container 100 can be non-destructively measured.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
