PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a word extension method that can narrow down search results being optimum for each user.;SOLUTION: In a word extension method that can be executed by a processor, the processor (a) acquires a first word, (b) acquires a concept map unique to each user 4 and including a plurality of second words and semantic distances between each of the plurality of second words from a memory, where the plurality of second words include words belonging to different categories, (c) determines a word corresponding to the first word as a basic word when the plurality of second words include the word corresponding to the first word, (d) selects at least one second word as an adjacent word from among the plurality of second words included in the concept map on the basis of the semantic distance for the basic word, and (e) outputs a result searched on the basis of the first word and the adjacent word.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
