To accurately estimate a state amount that is difficult to be measured directly such as a supply amount and physical properties of objects to be disposed of on the basis of an observation value of process data in a combustion furnace in which refuse and biomass are disposed of.SOLUTION: A combustion state estimation method of a combustion furnace includes: a step for executing a plurality of numerical simulations with one or more state amounts as an explanation variable, and one or more observation amounts that can be directly measured at one or more observation points arranged in a combustion furnace as an objective variable; a step for formulating relationships between the one or more state amounts and the one or more observation amounts on the basis of a result obtained by executing the plurality of numerical simulations; a step for executing the actual measurement at the one or more observation points and acquiring measurement values of the one or more observation amounts; and a step for acquiring an estimation value of the one or more state amounts by executing Bayesian estimation on the basis of the statistical information on the measured value of the one or more observation amounts obtained in the actual measurement, and relationships between formulated one or more state amounts and the one or more observation amounts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
