摘要

To provide a container crane and a cargo handling method by a container crane that can improve cargo handling efficiency by shortening the standby time of a cargo handling device for a ship and a cargo handling device for a transport machine accompanying the attachment/detachment work of the connection fitting.SOLUTION: There is provided a container crane 1 performing: loading and unloading of a container 20 on a container vessel 40 by a cargo handling device 6 for a ship which moves along a main girder 4; loading and unloading of the container 20 on a transporting machine 8 by a cargo handling device 7 for transporting machine which is installed on an intermediate girder 5; and relay cargo handling of the container 20 between the cargo handling device 6 for a ship and the cargo handling device 7 for transporting machine by a relay cargo handling device 9 which moves along the intermediate girder 5; where a connection fitting 30 is attached to/detached from the container 20 by bringing a workbench 10 which a worker H rides on and the relay cargo handling device 9 into close proximity at the intermediate girder 5 to such a distance that the worker H who rides on the workbench 10 can attach and detach the connection fitting 30 to and from an engagement portion 21 of the container 20 during the relay cargo handling process by the relay cargo handling device 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
