PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orally administered composition for decapod useful for raising and breeding of decapod organisms, and a method for making decapod organisms take the composition.;SOLUTION: The present invention provides an orally administered composition for decapod including at least one selected from 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) or an ester thereof, or salts of them. This orally administered composition for decapod can be used in decapod raising and breeding, and can effectively prevent and treat early mortality syndrome/acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (EMS/AHPND) caused by the bacteria Vibrio parahaemolyticus.
