To provide a vehicle seat that can adjust a resonant frequency of a pad without changing the pad itself, and to provide a method for adjusting pad vibration characteristic.SOLUTION: A vehicle seat includes: a pad containing foam; and a volume adjusting mechanism capable of adjusting a volume of the foam within a predetermined range in a proportion relative to a volume of the natural state thereof, thereby optionally adjusting a resonant frequency of the pad within a certain range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
