To provide a field work machine capable of calculating a slip ratio based on a movement amount of a machine body detected without depending on physical means and artificial means.SOLUTION: A field work machine of the invention comprises: a travel machine body comprising a front wheel and a rear wheel; a rotation meter 2 for detecting a rotation speed of at least any of the front wheel and the rear wheel; a machine body position information detector 3 for detecting machine body position information of the travel machine body; and a controller 5. The controller 5 comprises: a rotation speed acquisition part 51 for acquiring a rotation speed N detected by the rotation meter 2; a machine body position information acquisition part 52 for acquiring the machine body position information P detected by the machine body position information detector 3; a calculation part 53 for calculating a slip ratio S based on the rotation speed N and the machine body position information P; and a slip ratio storage part 54a for storing the slip ratio S.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
