To provide a seal device in which a thin plate is used for a seal member and yet the seal member is not damaged.SOLUTION: The seal device comprises: a first gas seal plate 11 protruding to an inner wall side of a duct 2 from a baffle plate 10; a second gas seal plate 13 being a thin plate 13A whose free end 13b contacts with the first gas seal plate 11; fitting plates 14 fixing a stationary end 13a of the second gas seal plate 13; and a pressing plate 22 fixing the second gas seal plate 13 between the fitting plate 14 and the pressing plate. At least one of a plurality of the fitting plates 14 is arranged while adjoining the other adjacent fitting plate at a prescribed interval in alignment. Stiffening plates 24a, 24b extending over a clearance between the adjacent fitting plate 14, and thicker than the thin plate 13A in thicknesses are arranged respectively between the fitting plate 14 and the second gas seal plate 13, and between the pressing plate 22 and the second gas seal plate 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
