To provide a semiconductor device capable of suppressing the influence of reflection caused by parasitic impedance and generating a highly-accurate output signal, and a method for controlling the same.SOLUTION: According to one embodiment, a semiconductor device 1 comprises: a driver 13 which drives an input signal IN to generate an output signal OUT; a plurality of sample hold circuits 14_1 to 14_n for sampling and holding the voltage of a rising output signal OUT at different timing; a comparison unit which compares a plurality of voltages held by each of the plurality of sample hold circuits 14_1 to 14_n; and a control unit which controls the drive capability of the driver 13 on the basis of the comparison results by the comparison unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
