To provide a rotor which can reduce foreign matters included in cooling liquid.SOLUTION: A rotor 12 of a rotary electric machine has a rotor core 20 and a plurality of permanent magnets 24 disposed in a circumferential direction inside or on an outer peripheral surface of the rotor core 20. Inside the rotor core 20, there are formed: one or more first channels 26 through which cooling liquid flows, extending in an axial direction and communicating outside of the rotor 12; and one or more second channels 28 extending outside in a radial direction from the first channels 26 and having closed terminal ends.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
