To provide a cable protection tube or the like, capable of receiving a cable easily, while preventing immersion of extraneous material thereinto.SOLUTION: A cable protection tube 1 has a slit 7 continuous in the longitudinal direction. In the slit 7, both marginal parts of the cable protection tube 1 in the hoop direction are lapped. In other words, in the profile of the cable protection tube 1 perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, crest parts 3 and troughs 5 overlap each other at both ends of the cable protection tube 1 in the hoop direction. The cable protection tube 1 is based on low-density polyethylene. EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin) and magnesium hydroxide are added, as a flame-resisting material, to the low-density polyethylene. Furthermore, carbon black and iron oxide are added for improving weatherability or the like. Since the cable protection tube 1 is based on the low-density polyethylene, it is soft and can be deformed easily.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
