PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently achieve improvement of fatigue strength in a joint portion of joined objects which is formed by double acting type friction stir spot joining.;SOLUTION: A clamp member for a double acting type friction stir spot joining device is included in a double acting type friction stir spot joining device, which conducts friction stir spot joining to joined objects by a rotary tool, and presses a surface of the joined object in a state that the joined objects are supported. The rotary tool has a pin member and a shoulder member. The clamp member has: an end surface which is disposed so as to make surface contact with the surface of the joined object and press the surface; and a protruding part which protrudes from the end surface in an axial direction, extends around an axis, and is disposed so as to press the joined object.
