To detect during an exploration period that a sensor terminal is operating normally in a seismic wave exploration system using a blind nodal type sensor terminal.SOLUTION: Provided is a resource exploring system for arranging a plurality of sensor terminals in an exploration target region, in which the plurality of sensor terminals measure the reflected wave of vibration excited from an excitation source. The terminal sensors comprise: a processor; a memory; a sensor; a signal processing unit for converting the value detected by the sensor and storing the converted data in the memory; and a communication unit. The processor executes a self-diagnosis for detecting the presence of abnormality of the sensor when prescribed timing is reached and transmits self-diagnosis result information. The plurality of sensor terminals execute a self-diagnosis in which, while the reflected wave is measured, at least one sensor terminal temporarily suspends the measurement and diagnoses the presence of abnormality of its sensor, and transmit a self-diagnosis result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3B
