To provide an electrode for a conductivity meter or a resistive meter of a four electrodes type with an alternating current, which is easily manufactured and has excellent workability with less leakage of an electric line of force to an outer side.SOLUTION: An electrode for a conductivity meter or a resistive meter includes: an electrode body; a tested liquid intake passage penetrating the electrode body; a pair of voltage poles respectively arranged to allow front surfaces to be exposed to opposed inner wall surfaces that form the tested liquid intake passage; and a pair of current poles respectively arranged to allow front surfaces to be exposed to the respective inner wall surfaces. Each one of the paired current poles includes a carbon based material, and a shape of a front surface of each one of the paired current poles to be exposed to the inner wall surfaces is a belt shape having an end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
