To provide a regenerated negative electrode active material which is the powder of lithium titanate having a main component of LiTiOrecovered from a discarded lithium ion battery and which can be reused as a material for a lithium ion battery.SOLUTION: A regenerated negative electrode active material for a lithium ion battery recovered from a discarded lithium ion battery is the powder of lithium titanate having a main component of LiTiO. The powder of lithium titanate contains Ni, Co and Mn by 1,000 mass ppm or more and 60,000 mass ppm or less as the total content of them.SELECTED DRAWING: None
