To provide a magnetic rotation sensor which, when being attached at a position susceptible to an external environment though, is hardly affected, and which is attachable even in the case where a distance between inner and outer circumferential edges of two members is short.SOLUTION: A sensor holder 12 attached to one side face 10 of a first member 3 is constructed so that a sensor substrate part 16 is fixed to an annular housing part 15 that overlaps with one side face 10 of the first member 3. An encoder 13 attached to one side face 11 of a second member 4 includes an extrorse flange part 26 extending from an annular base part 25 axially overlapping with the one side face 11 of the second member 4 to a side of the housing part 15 and a magnetic track part 27. When a cylinder part 33 of a cap 14 is attached to an outer circumference 22 of the housing part 15, an introrse flange part 34 of the cap 14 is positioned at a side to the extrorse flange part 26 and a labyrinth passage 35 is formed by the cap 14 and the encoder 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
