PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smell representation prediction system and a smell representation prediction categorizing method that can quickly and objectively predict appropriate smell representation on the basis of compound molecules of a smell component.;SOLUTION: A smell representation prediction system 1 is configured to comprise: a gas chromatography-olfactometry device 2 that predicts smell representation on the basis of a smell substance generated from an object S and specifies the smell substance of the object S; molecule information acquisition means 5 that acquires physicochemical parameter information on compound molecules of the specified smell substance; molecule parameter information narrowing means 6 that narrows down the acquired physicochemical parameter information on the compound molecules into molecule parameter information ; smell representation prediction means 7 that predicts smell representation on the basis of the narrowed-down molecule parameter information; and a monitor 4 that displays the predicted smell representation.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
