To allow a user, when the user operates one selected device selected from a plurality of operation object devices by using a set of input and output devices connected to a relay switching device, to select the selected device not only in the relay switching device but in the operation object devices.SOLUTION: An input and output relay system comprises: a plurality of operation object devices each including an input and output interface unit that transmits and receives input and output signals with an input and output device that performs input and output of input and output data with a user, a first communication interface unit that performs communication with another device, a selection switchover switch that receives an input indicating that a device is a selected device representing the only device selected by the user, and a selection switching control unit; and a relay switching device including an input and output relay unit that relays the input and output signals between the input and output device and a relay destination that is one operation object device, a second communication interface unit that performs communication with another device, a relay destination switchover switch that receives the user's selection of the selected device, and a relay destination switching control unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
