PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component supply management system capable of replenishing a carrier tape at an appropriate time depending on the type of tape feeder, and a component supply management method.;SOLUTION: The component supply management system is configured to perform the steps of: setting a threshold value for suppliable remaining amount of a carrier tape 18 for each tape feeder 13 depending on the type of the tape feeder 13 (step ST1); detecting the component suppliable remaining amount of the carrier tape for each tape feeder 13 (step ST2); determining whether or not the detected component suppliable remaining amount is less than the set threshold value for each tape feeder 13 (step ST3); and, as the result, for a tape feeder the component suppliable remaining amount of which is determined to be less than the threshold value, outputting an alarm advising replenishment of carrier tape (step ST4).;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
