PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and simple production method for a fine particle having a particle diameter of nanometer size (1 μm or less) and in which polymer and silica are complexed, and to provide a novel sol-gel reaction catalyst.;SOLUTION: The fine particle having a particle diameter of nano-meter size (1 μm or less) and in which polymer and silica are complexed is obtained by bringing a water-soluble polymer comprising a moiety represented by the following formula in the repeating unit and a hydrolyzable silicon compound into contact in the presence of water to cause a sol-gel reaction.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
