To provide a method for evaluating or searching for materials that improve pleasant emotions evoked by tactile stimuli, and a method for objectively evaluating pleasant emotions evoked by tactile stimuli.SOLUTION: The evaluation or search method of pleasure emotion improving agent evoked by tactile stimulation includes the following steps (A) to (D): (A) a step of imparting tactile stimulation to animals under the presence of a test substance; (B) a step of collecting a biological sample from the animal in 20 minutes immediately after the same stimulation; (C) a step of measuring the oxytocin amount in the collected biological sample; and (D) a step of evaluating or selecting as a pleasant emotion improving agent aroused by the tactile stimulation by comparing the oxytocin amount with the reference value for increasing the oxytocin amount of the test substance.SELECTED DRAWING: None
