The present disclosure provides an embodiment of an assembly that can be used in a method for improving the junction of the anterior and posterior mitral valgus by applying reshaping force to the apex.In certain embodiments, the assembly comprises a slender delivery catheter having at least one lumen and a slender flexible tensile member having first and second ends.The tensile member can be deployed from the delivery catheter.The assembly further comprises a closed member configured to be embedded within an atrial septum of the patient's heart and a deployable fastener configured to be secured to a tension member adjacent the closure member.After being fixed to the heart, the tension is applied to the tension member in the upper and forward directions toward the atrial septum, thereby providing re forming force, pulling the apex upward and forward and improving the junction with the anterior apex.
