PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pricing method of a substance concentration reference material that is traceable to a primary reference material (certified reference material) not depending on the type of a sample.SOLUTION: A pricing method of a substance concentration reference material comprises the steps of: (1) performing FCS measurement of a fluorescent stained substance concentration primary reference material (certified reference material) or a reference material traceable thereto, finding the number of molecules N in the measuring area of the FCS measurement from results of measurement, and calculating and finding the volume V of the measuring area by the following expression: V=N/(N×C) from a certified standard concentration C of the substance concentration primary reference material (certified reference material) and the Avogadro number N; and (2) performing the FCS measurement of the fluorescent stained pricing object substance, finding the number of molecules in the measuring area of the FCS measurement from the results of measurement, and pricing it as the substance concentration reference material using a value obtained by calculating the substance concentration of the pricing object substance by the following expression: the substance concentration=the number of molecules/(N×V) found from the number of molecules found and the volume V of the measuring area found in the step 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
