Depth estimation can be performed by a moving image unit, a moving image sensing unit having a fixed position to the movable lighting unit, a memory, and one or more processors coupled to the memory.The processor performs an operation including reading instructions from the memory, receiving reference images and non reference images from the image sensing unit, and estimating the depth of interest points appearing in the reference and non reference images.A reference image is captured when the image sensing unit and illumination unit are in the first location.When the image sensing unit and illumination unit are in the second location, non reference images are captured.The first and second locations are separated by at least the parallel movement along the optical axis of the image sensing unit.The step of estimating point depth is based on parallel movement.
