To provide a meteor detection information providing system, an information providing apparatus, a measuring apparatus, a program, and an illumination apparatus which can detect appearance of a meteor and can widely notify the appearance of a meteor.SOLUTION: The present invention is directed to a meteor detection information providing system having a reception unit for receiving a radio wave of a predetermined frequency band, a reception status acquiring unit for acquiring a reception status of a radio wave by the reception unit, a meteor burst detection unit for detecting a meteor burst by analyzing the radio-wave reception status, a meteor detection information generating unit for, upon detection of the meteor burst, generating meteor detection information associated with a meteor, and a transmission unit for transmitting the meteor detection information to an apparatus for carrying out some action relating to appearance of the meteor by using the meteor detection information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
