PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft seal device which can prevent leakage of a lubrication oil.;SOLUTION: A shaft seal device 50 includes: a rotary member 56 which may be attached to a rotary shaft 1; and a cover 57 which is disposed facing the rotary member 56. The rotary member 56 includes: a cylindrical part 60 which is partially positioned in an external space opposite to an internal space, in which a bearing is disposed, with respect to the cover 57; and a flange part 61 extending to the radial outer side of the cylindrical part 60 and positioned in the internal space. A radial gap G1 extending in an axial direction of the cylindrical part 60 is formed between the cylindrical part 60 and the cover 57, and an axial gap G2 extending to the radial outer side of the cylindrical part 60 is formed between the flange part 61 and the cover 57.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
