DOCUMENT CONVERTING DEVICE, DOCUMENT CONVERTING PROGRAM, AND DOCUMENT CONVERTING METHOD

To provide a device in which, when converting an original document created by an office suite application into a document available for web browsers, the content of the document can be edited while adopting the restrictions relating to formatting/editing that is set in the original document.SOLUTION: A document converting program executed by the controller of a document converting device is provided with an analyzing part for identifying objects in a first format by analyzing an original document and for reading the setting of editing restrictions in the original document, and a converting part for converting the objects in accordance with the setting of editing restrictions and for generating and outputting a document in a second format. In the converting part, when the formatting/editing of the original document is restricted, it converts such objects in which the editing restrictions are not applied into objects in the second format, whereas it converts such objects in which the editing restrictions are applied into image objects visualized by adopting the format of the original document, and moreover, when the objects of the interest are text objects, it inserts the content of the texts as an attribute of the image objects.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
