PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid base material with tabular particles that can provide a non-conventional, novel counterfeit prevention method.;SOLUTION: The solid base material with tabular particles 10 has 3 or more arbitrarily-shaped tabular particles 1p arranged in an arbitrary form on the arbitrarily designated places on the surface of solid base materials 2 and 3. The tabular particles 1p are composed on a tabular layer, each tabular particle 1p being 0.01 μm or more and 120 μm or less in thickness. In the first projection view made when each tabular particle 1p is projected onto the first projection plane where the maximum projection area of the tabular particle 1p is obtained, the first maximum width that gives the maximum width is 10 μm or more and 2 mm or less, and in the second projection view made when each tabular particle is projected onto the second projection plane that is perpendicular to the first projection plane and also is perpendicular to the direction of the first maximum width, the second maximum width that gives the maximum width is 20% or more of the first maximum width.
