To provide an automatic rating device and an automatic rating system that operates differently according to the state of answers.SOLUTION: An automatic rating device comprises: acquisition means that reads a recording medium having answer columns to acquire answer information from the recording medium; and image forming means that uses correct answer information and incorrect answer information stated on the recording medium acquired by the acquisition means to form different images in an area where the correct answer information is stated and an area where the incorrect answer information is stated on the recording medium. The image forming means forms a blank image for the area where the incorrect answer information is stated on the recording medium, the image different from the area where the correct answer information is stated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
