To provide a boundary line surveying method capable of extracting standing tree vertices using a grid of reference values suitable for an evaluation target area, calculating the number of standing trees with few errors, and performing highly efficient and highly accurate surveys of boundary lines especially in forest areas, by measuring an accurate reference point by surveying by imaging data and performing compass surveys for many of the boundaries using the reference point.SOLUTION: A server includes a point group data generation step, a vertex extraction step in a representative area, a standing tree vertex determination step in the representative area, a standing tree vertex number calculation step in the representative area, a standing tree number comparison step, a reference value change step, a vertex extraction step in an evaluation target area, a standing tree vertex determination step in the evaluation target area, and a calculated standing tree number determination step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
