The present invention relates to a quaternary ammonium disinfecting cleaning composition comprising a quaternary ammonium compound, an alkyl polyglycoside having a CMC of greater than 1000 ppm, and a chelating agent. In another embodiment, the cleaning composition comprises an alkyl polyglycoside having a higher CMC than the quaternary ammonium compound. Beneficially, the composition provides a residual bactericidal effect without diminishing performance and without scale formation when diluted with hard water.
