To attain improvement of usability in parameter setting.SOLUTION: A warning discrimination part 6 fixes an eye amplitude in setting change of a parameter and upper and lower limit values of tap values and discriminates the presence/absence of a warning in accordance with whether a synthetic output waveform of an emphasis waveform exceeds a peak value or an amplitude value of any one of taps exceeds the upper/lower limit value when a parameter required for generating the emphasis waveform is inputted and set. An emphasis output control part 5 outputs a synthetic output waveform after test signal application when the absence of the warning is discriminated, and turns off the output of the synthetic output waveform after the test signal application when the presence of the warning is discriminated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
