Energy efficient heart sound data collection

The present application specifically detects the first heart sound information of the patient's heart using the heart sound sensor in a first low power mode of operation and the heart second using a heart sound sensor in a separate second high power mode of operation. A device, system or method for efficiently collecting heart sound data, including detecting 2 heart sound information, is described. The mode of operation of the heart sound sensor can be controlled using physiological information from the patient, including heart sound information, information on the patient's heart rate, or other physiological information from the patient indicative of worsening heart failure.
