PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for taking an image.;SOLUTION: An image taking device performs rendering of an application interface comprising a first preview of a scene taken by the image taking device, the scene comprising at least the first object. The image taking device detects an unnecessary object in the first preview in the scene, based on selection of the first object. The detected unnecessary object is removed from the first preview in the scene. The image taking device covers a part corresponding to the removed unnecessary object out of the first preview in the scene, with at least one of a background area and a foreground area. The image taking device generates a second preview of the scene based on removal and covering.
