Automated sequential analysis of complex matrix samples to reliably detect bacteria in body fluid samples is accomplished using a processor-controlled robotic liquid handling system and flow cytometer. Disclosed are systems, devices and methods for sequential analysis of complex matrix samples for reliable bacterial detection and drug sensitivity prediction.
