To obtain a thermal fatigue test method, a test piece, and a thermal fatigue test apparatus capable of suppressing relaxation of restraint of the test piece in the course of the thermal fatigue test as compared to a case where V-shaped blades are press-fitted into both end portions of the test piece from a direction orthogonal to the direction of elongation and contraction of the test piece to restrain both end portions of the test piece by a jig.SOLUTION: In the restraining step, a shim member is brought into contact with the restraining portion 12 (both end portions) of the test piece 10 from the longitudinal direction to restrain the restraining portion 12 of the test piece 10 to the jig.
