PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam deaeration device capable of preventing drain generated in a steam feed pipe and a steam discharge nozzle from entering a packaging bag and affecting a packaged object, and a packaging machine having the same.SOLUTION: A steam deaeration device 1 comprises: a steam feed pipe 2 connected to a steam feed source; a steam discharge nozzle 3 attached to the steam feed pipe 2 for discharging steam into a packaging bag A; and a heater 4 for heating the steam discharge nozzle 3. A drain contact projection 5 with which drain comes into contact is provided on an inner face of the steam discharge nozzle 3. By bringing drain generated inside the steam feed pipe 2 and the steam discharge nozzle 3 into contact with the drain contact projection 5 and evaporating the drain, the drain can be prevented from entering the packaging bag A and affecting a packaged object.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
