To provide a high-pressure room that allows for such a massage effect as massaging the whole body with a hand at once, and to provide a method for controlling air pressure of a high-pressure room.SOLUTION: A high-pressure room includes: a chamber 10 for forming a living space; compression means 20 for raising air pressure inside the chamber; and decompression means 22 for reducing the air pressure inside the chamber. The high-pressure room pulsates the air pressure inside the chamber using the compression means and the decompression means to massage a human body in the chamber with changes of the air pressure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
