PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maximum power point tracking method operating a system at an optimum operation point in a photovoltaic generation structure.SOLUTION: A maximum power point tracking method includes the steps of: configuring a voltage tuning direction of a power converter by a process circuit such that an input voltage of the power converter changes in a positive or a negative trend (S310); detecting a corresponding input voltage and input current of the power converter sequentially by a detection circuit to acquire a plurality of powers (S320); and, when the powers decrease for N times continuously, changing the voltage tuning direction of the power converter such that the change of the input voltage switches from a positive trend to a negative trend or from a negative trend to a positive trend, in which N is an integer greater than or equal to 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
